API37.5 Technology helps the body thermoregulate by reducing the relative humidity next to the skin. This is made possible by the presence of Active Particles permanently embedded in fabrics. 37.5 Active Particles attract moisture vapor and move it away from the skin. These hypoallergenic particles are formed from naturally occuring volcanic minerals or activated carbon from coconut shells. The more Active Particles present in a fabric, the faster they move humidity away from the skin and help your body thermoregulate. The number of Active Particles present in a fabric is expressed by the Active Particle Index (API). The higher the API, the greater the number of particles in the fabric.: 419

PERFORMANCE CLAIMS

TEMPERATURE REGULATING

37.5 Technology works with your body to provide dynamic thermoregulation, helping to cool you when you’re hot and keep you warm when you’re cold.

NATURAL

37.5 Technology is made from naturally occurring volcanic minerals.

BETTER PERFORMANCE

37.5 Technology increases comfort and performance by helping to manage humidity and body temperature.

PERMANENT

37.5 Technology works for the life of the product.

LESS MOISTURE

37.5 Technology removes moisture in the vapor stage, delaying the onset of liquid sweat. Wicking only moves moisture, 37.5 Technology removes moisture.

SAFE

37.5 materials are OEKO-TEX® certified for consumer safety and available from BLUESIGN® certified partners.

ODOR CONTROL

37.5 Technology traps and releases odors when laundered, extending the life of products.

SUSTAINABLE

37.5 yarns are available in recycled polyester and nylon that can be GRS certified, and with enhanced biodegradation*.

*Third party laboratory testing under ASTM D5511 (accelerated landfill environment) showed 78% biodegradation of 37.5 PET staple fiber in 726 days. The stated rate and extent of degradation will vary by landfill and fabric type and does not mean that the material will continue to degrade.
